Growing up in Rochester, a city still haunted by the ghost of George Eastman, my love of photography was born. It was later that the pages of Thrasher magazine and album inserts from classic punk bands made my hopes of a career in photography come to life. I was drawn into the study of photography because I wanted to gain the technical skills so that I could apply them to the work that I wanted to create. In 2018, I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Professional Photographic Illustration in Advertising Photography.
My work ethic is a remnant from a youth spent trying to land tricks on a skateboard and practicing songs with my garage band. My inspiration comes in the form of a steady diet of Fast and the Furious movies, Genesee beer, and Diane Arbus.
I'm currently a photo assistant in New York City working on a variety of productions, both big and small. When not assisting I'm shooting portraiture for a variety of clients. I've been able to take the photo medium and create a brand for myself, the macabre and creepy meets the real moments of everyday life. Through this work I aspire to create images that people will see in their favorite magazines and albums and maybe inspire another person as I was when I saw such images.
